Solid copper candlestick from the Louis XV period, early 1730s. Stands 24 cm tall and holds a standard taper candle. Worn yet elegant, it reflects the craftsmanship and essential role of candlelight in an 18th-century French home.

Notes: This candlestick is an especially rare example of early 18th-century French copperwork. Louis XV period copper candlesticks were produced in far smaller numbers than their brass or bronze counterparts, and few survive in such complete condition. The finely detailed chasing and turned form reflect the high craftsmanship of the era, making this piece both a functional object and an exceptional collector’s find.
