Deep espresso clay pottery pitcher, made in Normandy. Unglazed, it has a mat rustic quality that makes floral arrangements ‘pop’. Rustic, but elegant in shape, it would have been an all-purpose pitcher for watering or toting water to the kitchen. Artisan pottery pitchers were an essential in a French country home for centuries. 25 cm tall, 15 cm in diameter and approx. 1.5 liters.
