Extra Large Antique Chateau Stock Pot

Extra Large Antique Chateau Stock Pot

$725.00

A monumental French copper stock pot dating to the late 1700s—an extraordinary survivor from the period of Louis XVI and early château kitchens. Hand-forged in heavy-gauge copper, this piece carries all the hallmarks of 18th-century craftsmanship: deeply hammered walls, generous riveted side handles, and a perfectly matched lid with its original hand-formed top handle.

Designed for château service, this pot holds over 15 liters and would have served daily for broths, stews, and large-format cooking. Its presence and scale make it both an heirloom culinary tool and a remarkable display piece for any serious copper collector, kitchen, or atelier.

Why we love this…

With the exceptional ability to conduct heat efficiently, copper cookware promotes precision and excellence in cooking. Traditional tin lined interiors are virtually non-stick when used correctly. Cooking with copper is the best option for everything from sauces to slowly cooked stews, braising and oven gratins. It is unbeatable for confiture and pastry making.
