Discovered together at a recent Normandy flea market, this pair of 19th-century hand-tinted botanical engravings is a rare treat for floral lovers and collectors alike. Each print was carefully colored by hand, giving the flowers a depth and subtlety of tone that printed color alone cannot achieve. The soft, time-aged hues and intricate linework speak to the craftsmanship of the engraver and the skill of the colorist.
Framed in matching gold-leafed wood frames with cream and blush double mats, they display beautifully as a pair—their complementary tones and balanced compositions create visual harmony whether hung side by side or flanking a doorway.
