Set of Antique Gien Cheese Plates
Set of Antique Gien Cheese Plates
Le Cremier collection of plates featuring different cheeses on each were made in Gien, France and by Marie-Pierre Boitard. These plates are one part of a set six different designs by this artist celebrating the adventures of gourmand history of regional cheese makers.
These transfer pattern and hand finished faience pottery pieces from Gien were produced in the early to mid 1900s. They are in excellent condition with typical glaze crazing. Perfect for decor or light use. Hand wash and dry.
Set of six plates: Roquefort, Coeur de Bray, Chabichou, Camembert, Brie, Valençay - 21 cm in diameter.

As with all vintage and antique items, please look closely at the details in the images. We note breakage or chips if apparent, but the patina which is inherent of age, or wear from 50-100+ years of existence and use -- is assumed for older pieces and is not considered a flaw or defect.
