RHK Organic Herbal Tea Blends
Many years ago I began cultivating and harvesting different herbs on the farm to make organic herbal teas. I enjoy them year around either fresh or from dried leaves. I have since become passionate about adding nettles to all of my blends for the multiple heath benefits. Stinging nettles (that no longer 'sting' once washed, dried or boiled) have been used for hundreds of years in herbal medicine and culinary creations.
Having a cup of nettle tea every day offers a range of health and nutritional benefits, from reducing blood pressure to offering protective anti-inflammatories and antioxidants. In herbal medicine, Melisse (or lemon balm) is often used for its soothing properties on digestive and nervous disorders. Verveine (or Verbena) is a pleasant tasting herbal plant that promotes relaxation and improves sleep. Mint is known for helping with digestive health, reducing allergic symptoms, and soothing common cold symptoms.
Choose from three blends:
No. 1 Bonne Santé - a blend of Nettles, Melisse, Verveine and just a touch of Mint. This is a everyday tea that is and herbal 'tisane' (no caffeine) and promotes better health.
No. 2 Perfect Green - Organic Green Tea with Nettles and Mint. A great mid-morning or afternoon tea for a healthy boost.
No. 3 Bonne Nuit - Nettles & Verveine Blend. A lightly flavored night time tea to sip in the evening and before bed.
Each loose whole-leaf blend comes in a sealed (and resealable) zip pouch of 30-45 grams (depending on type) which makes approximately 20-30 cups of tea.
Please remember:
Pregnant women should avoid consuming large amounts of nettles as sometimes this can stimulate uterine contractions. Always check with your doctor before adding anything in large amounts to your daily health regimen.
