Notes:

About La Tour d’Argent:
Perched on the Left Bank of the Seine with a sweeping view of Notre-Dame, La Tour d’Argent is one of Paris’ most legendary restaurants. Its origins trace back to 1582, when it is said to have been a favorite of Henri III. Over the centuries, it evolved from a royal haunt into a symbol of classic French gastronomy.

The restaurant became internationally renowned in the 20th century, especially under the Terrail family, who have preserved its legacy across generations. Famous for its pressed duck (each served with a numbered certificate), La Tour d’Argent has hosted royalty, heads of state, and literary greats—from FDR and Kennedy to Hemingway and de Gaulle.

Its silver flatware, much like these knives, was crafted to match the standards of the haute cuisine it served. Each piece reflects the elegance and heritage of a dining room that has witnessed over four centuries of history.
