Antique French wooden butter molds, each hand-carved with a distinct traditional motif—one featuring the iconic Norman cow beneath a tree, the other an elegant botanical leaf design. Once used to decorate freshly churned butter before it was served at the table, they are wonderful reminders of a time when even the simplest foods were presented with artistry.
Today they make beautiful decorative accents in a farmhouse kitchen, displayed on open shelving, layered with bread boards and wooden bowls, or incorporated into a collection of antique culinary tools. For those who enjoy traditional food crafts, they may also still be used to create beautifully patterned butter. Sold individually—choose either the Norman Cow or the Leaf design.

As with all vintage and antique items, please look closely at the details in the images. We note breakage or chips if apparent, but the patina which is inherent of age, or wear from 50-100+ years of existence and use -- is assumed for older pieces and is not considered a flaw or defect.
