French copper sugar pan by J. Jacquotot

French copper sugar pan by J. Jacquotot

$165.00

Vintage French copper sugar pan by J. Jacquotot, artisan made for pastry work and traditional confectionery techniques. The extended rim allows the pan to sit securely over a bain-marie or gentle heat source, ideal for melting sugar, preparing caramel, warming sauces, or delicate pastry preparations.

  • Stamped J. Jacquotot.

  • 12 cm diameter with 16 cm outer rim.

  • Solid copper with long tapered handle.

J. Jacquotot was a respected Parisian supplier of professional culinary equipment in the early 20th century, serving grand hotels, restaurants, ministries, and institutional kitchens from Rue de Grenelle in Paris’s 7th arrondissement. Their catalog included copper batterie de cuisine, molds, refrigeration equipment, and large-scale kitchen installations — placing this piece within the world of classic French professional cooking rather than domestic cookware alone.

A beautiful small-scale professional kitchen piece with a sculptural silhouette and warm polished finish — equally lovely displayed on open shelving between uses.

Why we love this…

With the exceptional ability to conduct heat efficiently, copper cookware promotes precision and excellence in cooking. Traditional tin lined interiors are virtually non-stick when used correctly. Cooking with copper is the best option for everything from sauces to slowly cooked stews, braising and oven gratins. It is unbeatable for confiture and pastry making.
