19th-Century French Copper Ébéniste’s Pot
This little two-piece copper pot was a working tool used by an ébéniste—a skilled French cabinetmaker—to prepare and keep traditional glue warm while working on furniture, veneers and marquetry.
Today, it is a wonderfully decorative little piece of French workshop history. Use it to hold utensils or small bouquets.
Outer pot approximately 9 cm diameter × 12 cm high; removable inner pot approximately 8 cm diameter × 7.5 cm high
