A vintage wicker bottle caddy from the historic Bouchard Père & Fils wine house in Beaune, Burgundy. Originally made for presenting or serving a bottle of wine, it has woven handles at each end and an original metal Bouchard Père & Fils plaque on both sides. A great piece to bring to the table with a favorite bottle.
The plaque reads “BOUCHARD PÈRE ET FILS / AU CHÂTEAU / BEAUNE (Côte d’Or), one of Beaune's historic wine houses. The company dates to 1731; Bernard Bouchard acquired the Château de Beaune in 1820, and the domaine's headquarters have been on rue du Château since 1872. The château and its cellars remain central to the house today.
