An unusually detailed antique brass candlestick with a tall, slender form and an incredible mix of engraved and raised decoration. Roses and foliage cover the base, while the stem combines fluting with several different geometric patterns. Beautiful on its own or mixed with simpler candlesticks on a table or mantel.

Dating & attribution: France, 19th century; Empire/Neoclassical Revival influence. Age is assessed through the form, construction, materials, workmanship, decorative style and natural signs of age and use.
